The Balatonvilagos Academic Hotel awaits its guests directly on the shores of Lake Balaton, in a well-kept enclosed park. Thanks to the sandy bed, shallow water depth and excellent water quality, even non-swimmers can enjoy the water safely for hundreds of metres.
Balatonvilágos was formed by the merger of two holiday villages, Aliga and Világos. Nearly 45 years ago, it was part of Balatonfőkajár and was called Világos-major, referring to the clear skies and lots of sunshine. Its name is also distinctive: Aliga is named after a – probably – existing tavern, and Világos after the light colour of the land.
The village is primarily for those who want to relax and unwind, but there is also something for active holidaymakers who want to play sports – tennis, swimming, sailing.
Those who like walking, cycling and horse riding will find a suitable route on the high shore, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the entire eastern basin of Lake Balaton. The reception staff of Balatonvilagos Academic Hotel will assist you in booking all these.

The rustic restaurant can accommodate up to 80 people. It offers an excellent opportunity for family events (weddings, christenings, graduation dinners, banquets, anniversaries, birthdays) and working lunches, small or large “white table” meetings, negotiations. It is possible to hold the civil ceremony in idyllic surroundings, and the newlyweds can also enjoy a free room at the hotel. Balatonvilagos Academic Hotel offers guests a cosy terrace with panoramic views of Lake Balaton.

- ACCIDENT PREVENTION All guests are required to comply with fire and safety regulations. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas, as indicated by signs in the courtyard. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the buildings, including in guest rooms!
- ADAPTERS Available free of charge at the reception.
- BED LINEN CHANGE Bed linen is changed once a week. If you require additional changes, please let our reception know.
- BLANKETS Extra blankets are available free of charge at the reception.
- CHECK-IN Rooms are available from 2:00 PM on the day of arrival. The minimum check-in age is 18 years. Please present your ID card or passport at check-in for scanning.
- CHECK-OUT Rooms must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Payment is due upon arrival at the latest and can be made in cash, by credit card, or with a SZÉP card.
- COMPLAINTS Please report any complaints, suggestions, unusual events, or hazards to the reception.
- DAMAGES Please use the hotel premises, furnishings, and equipment appropriately. Guests are financially responsible for any damage caused by improper use or negligence.
- DRINK BAR CONSUMPTION Drink bar charges will be added to your room and can be settled by cash or card at the end of your stay. The drink bar is open from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. All consumption must be confirmed with a signature. Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed to order independently at the drink bar.
- ELIGIBILITY FOR DISCOUNTS Guests may be required to prove eligibility for any discounts upon request. In case of legal regulations, eligibility for accommodation (e.g. immunity certificate) must also be verified.
- EXTRA AMENITIES Upon request, our hotel can provide the following extra amenities: towel replacement, additional bed linen change, extra blanket, spare pillow, baby equipment.
- EXTRA BED / BABY COT Extra beds or baby cots can be placed in 4 designated rooms. Please inform the reception if you need one.

- MINOR CHILDREN During the stay, parental supervision is required for all minor children. Children must not be left unattended on the hotel premises, on the playground, or in Lake Balaton. The playground at Akadémia Hotel Balatonvilágos may only be used under parental supervision and at one’s own risk.
- NOTEPADS Available free of charge at the reception.
- PETS Pets are NOT allowed on the premises of Akadademic Hotel Balatonvilagos.

- RECEPTION Our reception is available 24/7, every day of the week.
- ROOM EQUIPMENT All furnishings and equipment in the room are the property of the hotel and must be used properly. Removing items from the premises is prohibited.

- SHOE CLEANING A shoe cleaning machine is available in the hotel corridor for your convenience.

- QUIET HOURS / NOISE Please respect the quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. During the afternoon rest period between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, avoid making noise that may disturb guests who wish to rest or sleep.
- TOILETRIES Toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, and vanity set are available at the reception for an additional fee.
- TOWEL CHANGE To protect the environment, towels are changed every 4 days. If you would like a replacement sooner, please leave the used towel on the bathroom floor. If the towel is found hanging, it will be replaced every 4 days. Taking towels to the beach area is strictly prohibited!
- UMBRELLAS Available free of charge at the reception.
- VALUABLES The hotel is not responsible for any valuables brought onto the premises. This also applies to vehicles brought onto the property. Vehicles may only stay on the premises with special permission, as parking space is limited. One parking space can be requested per booking. The parking area is not guarded.
- VISITORS Visitors are only allowed with prior agreement and must leave the premises by 10:00 PM. In case of full occupancy, visitor access may be limited. Guests must not share gate codes with their visitors.
- WAKE-UP SERVICE A wake-up call service is available at the reception. Please notify us of your preferred wake-up time.
